Given the importance of agriculture in the municipality, there is a diversity of agricultural activities and therefore a diversity of agricultural issues and opportunities. Most of the land in the municipality is arable,thereforesuitable for agriculture. The main climatic constraints include low temperature and frost. Given that agriculture is the backbone of the economy of the municipality, a plan to develop a sustained agriculture industry is necessary.
