The report presents the state of development in rural and urban nodes with regards to education, economic activity, living conditions, and poverty levels. These nodes are specific areas earmarked by government for accelerated development under the Sustainable Rural Development Programme (ISRDP) and the Urban Renewal Programme (URP) which were both implemented in 2001.
