{"id":19837,"date":"2026-08-25T15:47:05","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T13:47:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.statssa.gov.za\/?p=19837"},"modified":"2026-08-25T15:47:05","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T13:47:05","slug":"media-advisory-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.statssa.gov.za\/?p=19837","title":{"rendered":"MEDIA ADVISORY\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>25 August 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Statistics South Africa to release the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for Q2 2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) will release the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) results for the second quarter of 2026 at a media briefing in Tshwane on Tuesday, 8 September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results will provide insights into how various sectors of the economy performed between April and June 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note that the results of the rebasing and benchmarking of the estimates of National Accounts will be released in October 2026. Details will be communicated in advance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note the following changes to the press conference proceedings:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lock-up Session (10:30 AM)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Media representatives will be granted access to the embargoed data from 10:30 AM.
