The rise in temperature increases the likelihood of extreme weather events such as storms, droughts, heat waves and heavy floods. The problem in understanding climate change or global warming is one of the major challenges confronting African people, their governments and the African Union (AU). From 04 to 06 September 2023, the first African Climate Summit was hosted in Kenya under the theme \u201cDriving green growth and climate finance solutions for Africa and the World\u201d. The summit\u2019s aim of the was for African countries to continue working on solutions that address environmental challenges facing the continent.
