The highest gains in jobs were recorded in \u2018other business activities\u2019 (+146 000 jobs), \u2018investigation and security activities\u2019 (+75 000 jobs), \u2018business and management consultancy activities\u2019 (+68 000 jobs), \u2018activities auxiliary to financial intermediation\u2019 (+49 000 jobs) and \u2018computer related activities\u2019 (+36 000 jobs).<\/p>\n<p>However, substantial losses in jobs were recorded in \u2018labour recruitment and provision of personnel\u2019 (-62 000 jobs) and \u2018building and industrial plant cleaning activities\u2019 (-21 000 jobs) over the same period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The total income for the industry in 2020 was R1 473 billion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The largest contributors in 2020 were \u2018real estate activities\u2019 (R287 billion or 20%), \u2018other business activities\u2019 (R235 billion or 16%), \u2018activities auxiliary to financial intermediation\u2019 (R234 billion or 16%) and \u2018computer related activities\u2019 (R175 billion or 12%).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The total income between 2010 (R709 billion) and 2020 (R1 473 billion) increased by 108% <\/strong>This translates to an increase of R764 billion.
