ISIbalo -5: Women-in-Statistics<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Like many disciplines in the sciences, the numbers of women who enter the statistics profession are retained or make significant impact in a research, leadership or managerial role are very little.<\/span><\/p>\n

Drawing from the ISI\u2019s Women in Statistics Committee, to which South Africa is a member of, the ISIbalo Women in Statistics programme will be launched in September 2016 to encourage and promote women\u2019s active contribution in statistics and statistical development.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the ISIbalo Women in Statistics programme will focus more on professional matters, Stats SA has already developed a Stats SA Women\u2019s Forum to provide support to women in the organisation across a broader range of issues.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
