Key findings: P0352.1 - Domestic tourism survey (DTS), 2018
The findings of the Domestic Tourism Survey, DTS 2018 reflect a general pattern of decrease in domestic tourism from 2017 to 2018, driven mostly by decrease in the number of day trips. As compared to the previous release, a shift was observed, whereby the number of overnight trips outstripped the number of day trips.Total number of expenditure increased from R86 billion in 2017 to R101 billion in 2018.
