The value of buildings reported as completed to municipalities in the monthly and annual surveys decreased by 6,1% from R68 340,6 million in 2023 to R64 151,8 million in 2024. Decreases were reported for residential buildings (-13,1% or -R5 487,0 million) and non-residential buildings (-1,7% or -R265,1 million). An increase was reported for additions and alterations (14,3% or R1 563,3 million).
