Key findings: Report-50-11-01 - Building Statistics, 2023
The value of buildings reported as completed to municipalities in the
monthly and annual surveys decreased by 12,9% from R78 414,5 million in
2022 to R68 276,8 million in 2023. Decreases were reported for additions
and alterations (-39,1% or -R7 011,6 million), non-residential buildings
(-9,4% or -R1 590,2 million) and residential buildings (-3,5% or -R1 535,9
million).
