Key findings: P7162 - Land transport survey, April 2016
Freight transportation
The volume of goods transported (payload) increased by 0,1% in April 2016 compared with April 2015. The corresponding income increased by 3,1% over the same period.
Income from freight transportation decreased by 1,0% in the three months ended April 2016 compared with the three months ended April 2015. The main contributor to this decrease was 'other' freight (-8,2% and contributing -1,0 percentage point).
Passenger transportation
The number of passenger journeys decreased by 15,8% in April 2016 compared with April 2015. The corresponding income increased by 1,8% over the same period.
