Measured in real terms (constant 2019 prices), total income generated by the food and beverages industry increased by 4,7% in November 2025 compared with November 2024. Positive annual growth rates were recorded for ‘other’ income (9,2%) and food sales (6,8%).

In November 2025, the largest positive contributor to the 4,7% year-on-year increase was restaurants and coffee shops (7,1% and contributing 3,3 percentage points).

 

Food and beverages income at constant 2019 prices for the latest three months by type of enterprise

 

Total income increased by 6,0% in the three months ended November 2025 compared with the three months ended November 2024. The largest contributors to this increase were restaurants and coffee shops (6,4% and contributing 3,0 percentage points) and takeaway and fast-food outlets (7,1% and contributing 2,8 percentage points).

 

Seasonally adjusted income for the food and beverages industry decreased by 1,2% in November 2025 compared with October 2025. This followed month-on-month changes of 1,3% in October 2025 and -1,8% in September 2025.
