Key findings: P6410 - Tourist accommodation, December 2025

Measured in nominal terms (current prices), total income for the tourist accommodation industry increased by 3,8% in December 2025 compared with December 2024.

Income from accommodation increased by 3,9% year-on-year in December 2025, the result of a 1,9% increase in the number of stay unit nights sold and a 1,9% increase in the average income per stay unit night sold.


In December 2025, the main contributors to the 3,9% year-on-year increase in income from accommodation were:

  •  ‘other’ accommodation (6,5% and contributing 2,3 percentage points); and
  •  hotels (1,8% and contributing 1,1 percentage points).

Income from accommodation increased by 10,0% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared with the fourth quarter of 2024. The main contributors to this increase were:

  • hotels (9,3% and contributing 5,4 percentage points); and
  • ‘other’ accommodation (11,3% and contributing 4,0 percentage points).

Seasonally adjusted income from accommodation decreased by 4,1% month-on-month in December 2025, following a decrease of 1,1% month-on-month in November 2025.
