Key findings: P6410 - Tourist accommodation, October 2025

Measured in nominal terms (current prices), total income for the tourist accommodation industry increased by 12,8% in October 2025 compared with October 2024.


Income from accommodation increased by 15,2% year-on-year in October 2025, the result of a 10,3% increase in the number of stay unit nights sold and a 4,5% increase in the average income per stay unit night sold.


In October 2025, the main contributors to the 15,2% year-on-year increase in income from accommodation were:

  • hotels (15,3% and contributing 8,7 percentage points); and
  • ‘other’ accommodation (17,2% and contributing 6,4 percentage points).


Income from accommodation increased by 10,5% in the three months ended October 2025 compared with the three months ended October 2024. The main contributors to this increase were:

  • hotels (11,0% and contributing 6,1 percentage points); and
  • ‘other’ accommodation (11,0% and contributing 4,2 percentage points).

Seasonally adjusted income from accommodation increased by 7,2% month-on-month in October 2025, following a decrease of 6,1% month-on-month in September 2025.
