Key findings: P6410 - Tourist accommodation, September 2025

Measured in nominal terms (current prices), total income for the tourist accommodation industry increased by 4,8% in September 2025 compared with September 2024.


Income from accommodation increased by 6,1% year-on-year in September 2025, the result of a 6,6% increase in the number of stay unit nights sold and a 0,5% decrease in the average income per stay unit night sold.


In September 2025, the main contributors to the 6,1% year-on-year increase in income from accommodation were:

  • hotels (6,9% and contributing 3,9 percentage points); and
  • ‘other’ accommodation (5,5% and contributing 2,0 percentage points).

Income from accommodation increased by 10,0% in the third quarter of 2025 compared with the third quarter of 2024. The main contributors to this increase were:

  • hotels (13,8% and contributing 7,5 percentage points); and
  • ‘other’ accommodation (6,2% and contributing 2,4 percentage points).

Seasonally adjusted income from accommodation decreased by 4,4% month-on-month in September 2025, following an increase of 3,7% month-on-month in August 2025.
