Key findings: P6410 - Tourist accommodation, July 2025
Measured
in nominal terms (current prices), total income for the tourist accommodation
industry increased by 11,1% in July 2025 compared with July 2024.
Income
from accommodation increased by 10,4% year-on-year in July 2025, the result of
a 7,9% increase in the number of stay unit nights sold and a 2,4% increase in
the average income per stay unit night sold.
In July 2025, the main contributors to the 10,4% year-on-year increase in income from accommodation were:
- hotels (18,3% and contributing 9,7 percentage points); and
- ‘other’ accommodation (2,7% and contributing 1,1 percentage points).
Income from accommodation increased by 10,2% in the three months ended July 2025 compared with the three months ended July 2024. The main contributors to this increase were:
- hotels (17,0% and contributing 9,1 percentage points); and
- ‘other’ accommodation (2,6% and contributing 1,0 percentage point).
Seasonally
adjusted income from accommodation decreased by 0,8% month-on-month in July
2025 following a decrease of 1,1% month-on-month in June 2025.
