Key findings: P6410 - Tourist accommodation, March 2025

Measured in nominal terms (current prices), total income for the tourist accommodation industry increased by 2,5% in March 2025 compared with March 2024.

Income from accommodation increased by 6,9% year-on-year in March 2025, the result of an 8,0% increase in the average income per stay unit night sold.

In March 2025, the main contributors to the 6,9% year-on-year increase in income from accommodation were:

·       hotels (8,5% and contributing 4,9 percentage points); and

·       ‘other’ accommodation (5,3% and contributing 1,9 percentage points.

Income from accommodation increased by 11,9% in the first quarter of 2025 compared with the first quarter of 2024. The main contributors to this increase were:

  • hotels (17,4% and contributing 10,2 percentage points); and
  • ‘other’ accommodation (4,7% and contributing 1,6 percentage points).

Seasonally adjusted income from accommodation decreased by 1,2% month-on-month in March 2025, following a decrease of 1,8% month-on-month in February 2025.
