Sales at constant 2019 prices: results for December 2025

 

Measured in real terms (constant 2019 prices), wholesale trade sales decreased by 1,4% in 2025 compared with 2024. In December 2025, wholesale trade sales increased by 0,3% year-on-year.

                                                                                                                     

Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales decreased by 1,1% in December 2025 compared with November 2025. This followed month-on-month changes of 1,8% in November 2025 and 0,2% in October 2025.

 

In the fourth quarter of 2025, seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales increased by 0,6% compared with the third quarter of 2025.

 

Sales at current prices: results for December 2025

 

Measured in nominal terms (current prices), wholesale trade sales increased by 2,3% in December 2025 compared with December 2024. The main positive contributors were dealers in:

·       food, beverages and tobacco (6,4% and contributing 1,2 percentage points);

·       ‘other’ goods (5,9% and contributing 0,5 of a percentage point); and

·       ‘other’ household goods except precious stones (4,5% and contributing 0,5 of a percentage point).

 

Wholesale trade sales increased by 0,8% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared with the fourth quarter of 2024. The main positive contributor was dealers in food, beverages and tobacco (5,5% and contributing 0,9 of a percentage point).
