Key findings: P0350 - International Tourism, April 2025
In April 2025, 2 978 374 travellers (arrivals, departures, and transits)
passed through South Africa’s ports of entry/exit. They were made up of 817 353 South African residents and 2 161 021 foreign travellers. Foreign arrivals, 1 115 585 were made up of 27 340 non-visitors
and 1 088 245 visitors. The visitors consisted of 260 359
same-day visitors and 827 886 overnight
visitors (tourists). The breakdown of tourists by region is as follows 178 195 from overseas; 634 558 from SADC countries; 14 216 from 'other' African countries and the country
of residence of 917 tourists were classified as unspecified.
