Maphumulo

Maphumulo is situated on the R74 Road from Stanger to Kranskop.The Maphumulo Local Municipality is classified as a Category B Municipality according to the Municipal Structures, 1998 (Act No. 117 of 1998). It comprises of mostly rural areas governed by Traditional Authorities. Maphumulo Municipality possesses a lot of untapped cultural/eco-tourism potential due its cultural background and natural heritage. It boasts tourist such natural attractions as Kwa-Shushu Hot Springs, ItshelikaNtunjambili and Sabuyaze Mountain amongst others. Ndwedwe

Ndwedwe Local Municipality is one of the four local municipalities within the Ilembe District Municipality. It has unique tourism attractions (Zulu Rural Cultural Trail) such as the Nhlangakazi Holy Mountain, which represents a significant cultural and religious attraction. It also has beautiful mountains such as the Ozwathini Mountain; KwaMatabata Mountain; Carmen Mountain; KwaMkhalanga Mountain and Goqweni Mountain. These mountains accommodate activities such as 4x4 routes; hiking trails, horse trails; camping sites; caravan parks; and birding. Molemole

Molemole Local Municipality is located about 60km north of Polokwane within the Capricorn District. It is in the town of Mogwadi, formerly known as Dendron. The municipality is bordered to the south by Polokwane Municipality, to the north-west by Blouberg Municipality, to the south-east by Greater Letaba Municipality in Mopani District, and to the north by Makhado Municipality in Vhembe District. One national road, the N1, crosses through the municipal area linking Molemole with Zimbabwe to the north, whereas the provincial road P94/1 (R521) passes through the municipality and links Molemole to Botswana to the west. It is the smallest municipality in the Capricorn District with 14 wards. The municipality is named after one of the mountains surrounding the area.

Nkomazi

The Nkomazi Local Municipality is located in the eastern part of the Ehlanzeni District Municipality of the Mpumalanga Province. The municipality is strategically placed between Swaziland (north of Swaziland) and Mozambique (east of Mozambique). It is linked with Swaziland by two provincial roads and with Mozambique by a railway line and the main national road (N4), which forms the Maputo Corridor.
The Nkomazi Municipality is bounded by the Mozambique to the east, Swaziland to the south, Kruger National Park to the north, Umjindi Local Municipality to the south west and Mbombela Local Municipality from the northwest to west. The main urban centres are Louws Creek; Kaapmuiden; Malelane, Hectorspruit, Marloth Park, Komatipoort, KaMhlushwa, Tonga and KaMaqhekeza.

Madibeng

The Madibeng Local Municipality is located in the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality within the North West province between the majestic ancient Magaliesberg and the Witwatersrand mountain range, and means 'the place of water'. The name is derived from the area's resources that characterise the natural beauty of an area which encompasses the Hartbeespoort, Rooikoppies, Vaalkop and Klipvoor Dams, all of which contribute to the area in terms of tourism. The Municipality is demarcated into 31 wards of which 10 fall in the urban areas (Brits, Hartbeespoort and Skeerpoort) and 21 in the rural areas and villages. It includes approximately 43 villages and 9000 farm areas. Madibeng is centrally situated (approximately 50km from Pretoria, 55 km from Johannesburg and 60km from Rustenburg) and is easily accessible with various road networks, amongst others the N4 toll road, which is running from various directions through Madibeng to Mmabatho, as well as a railway line and airport for light aircraft.read more »
