Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality occupies 1975km2of the land area in the province of Gauteng (Wikipedia). The nameEkurhuleni means place of peace in Tsonga (Wikipedia), and the municipality is one of three metropolitan municipalities within Gauteng. Umzumbe Municipality (KZ213) is a local municipality falling within the Ugu District Municipality (DC21). The municipality is one of the six local municipalities within the District. It is the largest municipality within the district in terms of the geographic area coverage.
