In February 2016, there were 1 285 698 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 78 123 non-visitors and 1 207 575 visitors. The visitors consisted of 403 805 same-day visitors and 803 770 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 234 707 from overseas; 553 013 from the SADC countries; 15 149 from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 901 tourists was classified as unspecified.
