Minister in the Presidency responsible for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Honourable Jeff Radebe, will officially open Statistics South Africa’s (Stats SA) new head office building at a ceremony to be held on Monday, 12 December 2016. The Honourable Minister will be joined by the Statistician-General of South Africa, Dr Pali Lehohla, Stats SA staff, as well as other dignitaries at this event.
The R1.4 billion building which has been custom-designed to meet the specific operational requirements of Stats SA, began construction in 2014 and was completed in 2016.
Stats SA joins the ranks of several other government departments that are consolidating their operations under one roof to improve service delivery and turnaround time, by relocating to this newly completed Green Star-rated building.
