Premier Mchunu & Statistician-General hosts a symposium to discuss education in pursuit of eradicating the triple challenge of poverty, unemployment & inequality


The Statistician-General of South Africa, Dr Pali Lehohla, and the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Honourable Willies Mchunu, will host the 3rd ISIbalo Symposium on 20-21 October 2016 in eThekwini under the theme “Policy and Statistics in pursuit of quality education in South Africa – Promoting the education agenda towards eradicating poverty, inequality and unemployment in KwaZulu-Natal”.


The symposium seeks to stimulate policy debate and lead a discourse towards improving the education dynamics in the province, reflect on current policy, effective programmes including advantages and challenges emanating and to reflect on recommendations that will assist in strengthening of the educational system in the province and country.
